I started medical school with the intentions of being a pediatrician or family medicine doctor until I did a rotation in Ophthalmology. A trip with an ophthalmologist to El Salvador in my fourth year of medical school as part of a Lions Club International sight services mission solidified my commitment to becoming an ophthalmologist. I have practiced with University Eye Specialists since 2011.
