I was born and raised in East Tennessee and my father was a cardiologist. I took a non-traditional path into medicine, graduating from law school and practicing law for three years before starting medical school. Once I entered medical school I knew I wanted to become a cardiologist, and I completed my medical training at Vanderbilt and Wake Forest. I came to UT Medical Center in 2009 after completing my training, and I have been blessed with countless wonderful patients, colleagues and team members. In 2022, I transitioned to an administrative role with UTMC and am honored to work alongside the best Medical Staff in the region.
