I have worked in Bariatrics (which is the “treatment of obesity,”) for the last 15 years. It is gratifying to walk beside patients as they battle the disease of obesity. Obesity is a complicated and multifaceted disease requiring the patients and providers to address it from multiple angles including medication, behavioral therapy and change, surgery, physical therapy, and group therapy. There is nothing better than helping a patient be successful subduing this disease.
