Our Services
UT Hospitalists are board-certified doctors who care for you while you’re in the hospital. While you’re here, we direct your overall care. And when leave the hospital, we’ll help transfer your care back to regular doctor.

Our hospitalists give you the best care in East Tennessee.
Hospitalists give you continuous care, because we work in the hospital (rather than in a practice) and we’re available 24 hours a day. We work hard to make sure you have one hospitalist as your main provider during your stay. That helps us get to know you and your condition, and it lets us give you our complete attention.
Since we work right in the hospital, we’re always there to follow up on your tests, procedures and treatments. As a result, we detect problems earlier, and better manage complex medical issues.
We also work with a great team of other providers like:
- Nurses
- Pharmacists
- Social workers
- Therapists
Our goal is to thoughtfully manage your care, so you get well and back to your normal life. When you’re admitted to the hospital, your primary care provider will hand the management of your care to one of us.
We’ll then communicate with your primary care provider regularly throughout your stay. When you leave the hospital, we’ll summarize your hospital stay to your primary care provider. Your primary care provider takes your care over again once you’re out of the hospital.
We don’t know anyone who wants to be in the hospital. But if you do find yourself needing to be at UT Medical Center, know you are in good hands. We focus solely on hospitalized patients, and we’re highly trained to treat patients with multiple complex medical issues.
