About the MS Comprehensive Center

 

Multiple sclerosis is the most common non-traumatic disabling neurological disease in young adults. It affects the optic nerves (the vision nerves), the brain and the spinal cord, if left untreated or under-treated it can compromises the ability to see, speak, swallow, move, feel or even more. At UT MS Comprehensive center we aim to accurately and timely diagnose the patients and work with them to personalize the treatment plan. Early diagnosis and treatment are the key for to ensure disease control. We focus on addressing everyone’s needs and their family members and make a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team approach. We focus on patients education to advocate for their health and management and we prioritize patient’s quality of life as a main component of the treatment plans.

Abby Wiggins

PharmD, MPH


Abby Wiggins, PharmD, MPH is a clinical pharmacist specialist at University Neurology. She completed her education at The University of Kentucky, graduating with a Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Public Health. After graduating she completed two years of residency training before joining the University Neurology team full time in 2021. Dr. Wiggins works closely with the Multiple Sclerosis and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Clinics to assist with medication access and optimize care
